Skating on the ice rink on Tartu Town Hall Square is free of charge and you are welcome to come with your own skates. You can also rent skates on site if you so prefer.
You can either use cash or pay by card to rent skates and other equipment in the skate rental pavilion.
Skate rental (one pair of skates in all sizes for the period of 60 minutes):
from 10:00-15:00 Monday–Friday – €3
from 15:00-22:00 Monday–Friday – €5
from 10:00-22:00 Saturday and Sunday – €5
The size range for skates in the rental pavilion on Town Hall Square is from size 26 to size 47 and you will need an identity document to rent skates and other equipment. We recommend using an Estonian ID card to ensure fast service at the pavilion.
Skate rental is daily open as follows:
10:00–13:15;
14:30–16:45;
18:00–21:15.
Helmet rental (one helmet in all sizes for the period of 60 minutes) – €2
P.S. Children under 7 can visit the rice rink only with an accompanying person and are required to wear a helmet.
P.P.S. Only a limited number and size range of helmets are available to rent at Town Hall Square. The safer the better – feel free to wear your personal helmet if you wish.
